Actual draft=90

Mechanical draft=85

Waste extration%=?

Formula-

Actual draft=\frac{M.D}{1-waste percentage}

M.D=mechanical draft

90=\frac{85}{1-\frac{waste}{100}}

\frac{90}{85}=1-\frac{waste}{100}

1.058=1-\frac{waste}{100}

\frac{waste}{100}=1-1.058

\frac{waste}{100}=0.058

Waste=5.8%
