Question 02 (Textile Engineering & Fibre Science)

A function g(t) is defined as follows

    \[g(t)=\begin{cases}\frac{1}{2\tau}, & \text { when } t_0 - \tau <t< t_0+\tau \ 0, & \text{ when } t \leq t_0-\tau \; and \; t\geq t_0+\tau\end{cases}\]

The Laplace transform of the function g(t) is given by

(A)\frac{1}{2s}[exp(s\tau)-exp(-s\tau)]exp(-s\tau_0)
(B)\frac{1}{2s}[exp(s\tau)+exp(-s\tau)]exp(-s\tau_0)
(C)\frac{1}{2s\tau}[exp(s\tau)-exp(-s\tau)]exp(-s\tau_0)
(D)\frac{1}{2s\tau}[exp(s\tau)+exp(-s\tau)]exp(-s\tau_0)
[Show Answer]

Option C is correct.
