(A)0.720
(B)0.740
(C)0.758
(D)0.765
[Show Answer]

Option C is correct.

Given in the question-

Waste extraction-

In blow room=6%

In card=4%

In comber=16%

Weight of cotton bale=1 kg

Weight of combed sliver=?

Weight of combed sliver=Weight of cotton bales x (1-Waste in B/R) x (1-Waste in card) x (1-Waste in comber)

Weight of combed sliver=1 x (1-6%) x (1-4%) x (1-16%)

Weight of combed sliver=1 x (1-0.06) x (1-0.04) x (1-0.16)

Weight of combed sliver=1 x 0.94 x 0.96 x 0.84

Weight of combed sliver=0.758 kg (Ans)
