Question 07 (Textile Engineering & Fibre Science)

20s, 30s, 40s and 50s Ne cotton yarns have the same twist per cm. The yarn having maximum fibre obliquity is

(A)20s Ne
(B)30s Ne
(C)40s Ne
(D)50s Ne
[Show Answer]

As given in the question-

Counts-20s,30s,40s and 50s Ne cotton yarns

All have same twist per cm.

By the formula-

tan\alpha=0.0112\times V_y^\frac{1}{2}\times TM

and we know,

TPI=TM\sqrt count

tan\alpha=0.0112\times V_y^\frac{1}{2}\times \frac{TPI}{\sqrt count}

i.e,
tan\alpha is inversaly proportional to the square root of count(Ne)

So,that
If number of count increases,means fibre obliquity decreases.

Hnece ,20s Ne count cotton fibre have maximum fibre obliquity. (Ans)
