If the 50% span length of a cotton fiber is 13.5 mm and the uniformity ratio is 45%, then 2.5% span length of this fibre in mm would be

Given in the question-

50% span length(50 %SL)=13.5 mm

Uniformity ratio(UR)=45%

2.5% span length(2.5% SL)=?

By formula-

$UR percentage=\frac{50 percentage span length}{2.5 percentage span length}\times 100$

$45 percentage=\frac{13.5}{2.5 percentage span length}\times 100$

$0.45 percentage=\frac{13.5}{2.5 percentage span length}$

$2.5 percentage span length=\frac{13.5}{0.45}$

$2.5 percentage span length=30$ mm (Ans)
