What is relative humidity in simple words? | what is relative humidity?

Relative humidity (RH) is the amount of moisture present in the air compared to the maximum amount of moisture the air could hold at a particular temperature. It is expressed as a percentage and is calculated by dividing the actual vapor pressure of the air by the saturation vapor pressure of the air at the same temperature and multiplying by 100.
