Question 22 (Textile Engineering & Fibre Science)

The length (km) of 5 kg of 30 Ne yarn (rounded off to the nearest integer) is __253 to 255__.

[Show Answer]

Write Here

Given in the question:
Weight of yarn=5 kg
=5000 gm

Count of yarn=30s Ne
=590.5/30 tex
=19.68 tex

Length of the yarn=?

Calculation :

By definition of the tex-
weight of 1000 meter length=19.68 gram (tex=19.68)

i.e. 19.68 gram of yarn weight have=1000 meter length
Then,

1 gram of yarn weight have =1000/19.68
and
5000 gram of yarn weight have=1000*5000/19.68 meter length

Length of yarn=5000000/19.68
=254065.041 meter

Length of yarn=254065.041/1000 km

Length of yarn=254.065 km (Answer)
