Question 49 (Textile Technology & Fibre Science)

For a shuttle loom, producing plain woven fabric, if each of the dwell periods of the shedding cam corresponds to one-third of crank shaft rotation, the sum of the two dwell periods of the cam (in degree) is __120__.

[Show Answer]

write here

Given:
Dwell period of the shedding cam=Crank shaft rotation/3
As we know crank shaft rotation is 180 degree
i.e. Dwell period of the shedding cam(\Theta)=180/3
=60o
\Theta1=60o , \Theta2= 60o

Sum of two dwell periods(\Theta) =\Theta1+\Theta2

=60o+60o

\Theta=120o (Answer)
