Textile department of BIET started BE (Textile Technology) in 1982 and ME in 2002 respectively. BIET offers and currently offer 40 seats for BE (Textile Technology) and 18 seats for ME (Textile Technology). BIET is 40 years old college having vast research setup and industrial collaborations.
Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology was started in the year 1979 with the initiative and foresight of Bapuji Educational Association. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgavi, has been recognized by AICTE and UGC under 2(F) and 12(B). The institute has been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade, and also accredited by NBA and Institution of Engineers. The Institute has grown by leaps and bounds, and at present offers 9 UG and 4 PG programmes in Engineering, Technology and Management. The college has 13 recognized research centers.

2. Government Sri Krishnarajendra Silver Jubilee Technological Institute, Bangalore
The Department of Textile technology was started in the year 1938with an intake of 20 students. The department has been recognized by AICTE New Delhi, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum. The department consists of highly qualified and experienced faculty with good recognition in academia and industry.
